Question: My son is a Cub Scout. When he crosses over from Cub Scouts to a Troop does he have to pay another registration fee?
Answer: A registered Cub Scout crossing over to a Boy Scout Troop would only pay a $1.00 transfer fee.
Question: My son is a Boy Scout. Does he have to pay to join another unit?
Answer: A youth member (Boy Scout, Varsity Scout, Sea Scout, or Venturer) may register in another scouting unit without paying another registration fee. This is called multiple registrati0n. Keep in mind, though, that he will receive mailings related only to his primary unit registration. For example, look below:
- Boy Scout - may multiple register with a crew, ship, or team
- Venturer - may multiple register with a crew, ship, team, or troop
- Varsity Scout - may multiple register with a ship, crew, or troop
- Sea Scout - may multiple register with a ship, crew, team, or troop
Question: Our chartered organization has a troop and a pack. Should the Chartered Organization Representative (CR) and Executive Officer be the same persons for both units?
Answer: Yes! If a chartered organization operates more than one unit, then the same chartered organization representative (CR) and executive officer must be registered for all units sponsored by that organization.
