The Pinewood Derby is the classic event for scouting that has brought excitment and creativity to the Yellow Jacket District for years and helps define what scouting is all about. Boys work to build a car that is expressive and technical. New skills are developed in woodworking and assembly. Parents also enjoy the event, watching their scout learn new skills and then enjoy the friendly competition as the cars spped down the track.
