Summer Camp
With more than 1000 acres and 30 miles of shoreline on beautiful West Point lake, Camp Frank G. Lumpkin, Jr. provides a unique setting for an exciting outdoor experience. Since 1999, the Chattahoochee Council has hosted summer at Camp Frank G. Lumpkin, Jr. Over four million dollars has been spent on capital development to make it one of the South's premier camping facilities.

Camp Frank G. Lumpkin, Jr. hosts the summer camp program of the Chattahoochee Council. Over 50 merit badges are offered for those Scouts working toward the Eagle Scout rank. Other programs include a first year program for our newest Scouts and a special "High Adventure" program for Scouts and Venturers ages 14-20. A certified C.O.P.E. course is also a part of the High Adventure program.

Plan to join us for the camping season!

Cub Scout Resident Camp
Cub Scout Resident Camp is a three day, three night, outdoor camping experience for Cub Scouts and their adult leaders and parents. It is an excellent supplement to your Pack's year-round program. All Cubs, their leader's and parents are invited to attend any of the sessions together as a Pack or you may choose the Parent & Pal Option.

This year's theme is "Cubs in Camelot". Activities will include crafts, swimming, archery, BB marksmanship, campfires, nature, and much, much more.

Resident Camp will be held this year at Camp Frank G. Lumpkin, Jr on beautiful West Point lake. Session I will be held July 18-21, 2004 and Session II will be held July 22-25, 2004. The Early Fee is $85.00 per Cub Scout and $35.00 per adult. Hurry and reserve your space with a $15.00 per person deposit before May 28, 200 4. For more information contact the Scout Service Center or email the Camp Director at residentcamp@hotmail.com.

Cub Scout Day Camp
Cub Scout Day Camps provide our Cub Scouts and leaders with a nonresident camp session to get them excited about Scouting, help them maintain interest during the summer months, furnish activities that packs and dens might not be able to stage on their own, and give boys a chance to have fun and earn various rank electives.

The Council wide theme this summer is "Cruising into Summer". Each day camp will have fun activities, games and events supporting this theme. The emphasis is on "fun". Talk to a Cub Scout who attended a day camp last year and I am sure you'll find he is headed back again this summer!

Day Camps are held in each of our Districts and are run by a trained volunteer staff. Depending upon the District, day camp sessions are held on various weeks. See our Council calendar for information on dates, times, and locations.
