Troop Pre-Camp Checklist
Note: 2008 updates are here.
 
 Fall 2007
-Select Camp Lumpkin for your troop's 2008 Summer Camp experience. Review all important information with the troop committee and patrol leader’s council.
-Submit the $250 Camp Reservation and Damage Deposit..
-Begin promoting Summer Camp to the boys and their parents, as well as those Webelos that will be crossing over in the spring.
 
January-2008
-Contact the Chattahoochee Council Service Center to schedule camp promotion team.
-Schedule a Summer Camp Promotion night with the Scouts and their parents. Invite all Webelos that will be crossing over. Collect an initial camp deposit for each Scout and submit these deposits to the Chattahoochee Council Service Center no later than February 22nd.

February/March-2008
-Collect the second fee payments from each of the Scout's and submit them to the Chattahoochee Council Service Center.
-Begin registering Scouts for Merit Badge classes using online registration system(www.chattahoochee-bsa.org).
-Be sure that every Scout and Leader has a completed medical examination.
-Encourage all Scouts to identify what programs they will be taking at camp.
-Schedule Order of the Arrow elections with your local lodge.
 
April/May 2008
-Finalize all program plans for each Scout.
-Complete transportation arrangements to and from camp.
-Collect and submit the remainder of all fees.
-Finish registering for all merit badge classes and other program activities using the online registration system.
 
June/July 2008
-Attend the Ten-Day Out Leader’s Meeting at Camp Lumpkin.
-Turn in any late merit badge class rosters. These classes are not guaranteed.
